BASIC STUDIES AS MINOR-SUBJECT MODULE (25 ECTS)

FUNTS offers the possibility for students to include the multidisciplinary Basic Studies in tourism in their Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of 25 ECTS). The studies give students basic knowledge of the multidisciplinary research on tourism and entitle them to take study modules that can be included in a Master’s Degree. Basic Studies contain central concepts of tourism research and also basic knowledge and skills for keeping up with developments in the field of tourism. Courses concentrate also on tourism service providers, businesses and customership.

The Basic Studies are offered as web courses (Moodle) to all students that are able to include the studies into their Master's or Bachelor's degree at one of the member universities of FUNTS.

FUNTS organizes a seminar for the new students strating their FUNTS studies with the topic "Tourism as profession and work" in Savonlinna (August 23rd to 24th) including the orientation with the teachers and an evening at the Castle of Olavinlinna.
